College Football Recruiting
I'm happy with the 28 recruits Tennessee ended up with this year, they ended up with the top 9 recruiting class. I really didn't think we were going to even get a 2010 recruiting class with the coaching changes we had, but the new coach did a good job with the time he had. I'm real happy the Vols getting a QB that can throw and run, Tyler Bray out of Kingsburg (CA)

I'm glad to get a top 10 rated class too but I don't get too excited until these guys are scoring TD's and making tackles on the field. I'm with you though. I really didn't think these was much of a chance that UT would get that many highly rated recruits with the late coaching change.

though good recruiting doesn't hurt, it doesn't necessarily translate to wins. look at notre dame & cal (uc berkeley) w/ their good recruiting class, but they suck in the performance category.

Exactly my point

It's good to see you back again Quang! Where have you been?

Re: College Football Recruiting
aside from the odd break here and there, such as watching the superbowl, i have been pretty busy. i have a trial coming up so, must do lots of stuff to prep. for that. the bad part is also the timing. there are other trials going at the same time, so it's that much more difficult for me to dump off my work on to others, aka delegating.
but ya, and can't agree w/ you more that though it's always nice to have a top recruiting class, be happy for it, it's hardly the rapture either. that alone won't necessarily translate to wins, let alone a successful season.
