Pretty cool, but consider that they used to do pretty much the same thing with a Winchester Model 12 pump shotgun (because of the disconnector).

I'm with you on that notion. Had they extended the mag tube in such a manner on the 12, I think it might surprise us on what would be possible.
One of the "excuses" for those defending MgGivern for example, in comparing to Miculeks record, and its a valid argument, is that McGivern was using the earlier "long action" version Smith, which had a longer lock time, whilst the present version, the hammer cycles a minute bit shorter.
Gas guns are of course "faster" for sure than a recoil op gun, but in theory at least, I guess the 12 could keep up with the gas gun, given the right man handling it.
I always laugh at the warnings given "dont try this at home", with the exception of the rifle arial shooting, which is chancy in most areas, none of the tricks are any more dangerous, than normal gun use.
I used to do a bit of 22 arial work, but at present, even in the great expanse of NV playas and valleys, its a little risky unless in controlled fenced areas. There are simply too many folks out driving around now.
