Here is fine, it is the general rifle section. There is another section that is for the "evil BLACK weapons" of death and mass destruction, but any thing to do with rifles actually can go here.

Re: Do I place HK Rifle related posts here or in the other section ???
Actually, the rifle I'm holding is a springfield copy of a fal with a SUB MOA accuracy. as a matter of fact, My wife shoots empty shotgun shells of the top of the target holders at 150 yards, when we go to the range, with this rifle.
Many HK products can be found online...I did a quick check on www.gunbroker.com
and turned up a couple of HK SR9T's...a bit expensive for my tastes though.
for what 1 sr9 costs, you can buy 2 M1A's and do just as good a job...or you could buy 1 1/2 springfield FAL's like the one I'm holding..probably 2 and get as good or better accuracy.
they're not HK's though..

Re: Do I place HK Rifle related posts here or in the other section ???
its a nice looking rifle, and ofcourse sprinfield is a good reputable company too, so i would surely consider one perhaps,
just unfortunately for me i collect hk, and i do mean unfortunately, because they hate and mistreat the civilian market and in most cases youre just payiing the premium for the name and not the quality, but the quality is there ofcourse,
though its the name is what dirves the market on their products and accessories alike...

Re: Do I place HK Rifle related posts here or in the other section ???
I've always taken a common sense approach to firearms.
they are tools.
Much like hammers, one is like another...some are prettier. some not so much.
but the most interesting rifles, to me, are the ones that really SHOOT.
if they have a great accuracy..then I'm interested in them.
a name?
not so much as I am a follower of John Moses Browning. That man was truly inspired by a higher power, when it came to creating weapons.
Many of the European designs are based on many of HIS designs.
and many of his older designs are in use today!
(the m2 .50 caliber machine gun for instance, or the browning high power 9mm pistol)..even the 1911 which has been used by more countries, more militaries than any other 3 pistols combined and has 4 mechanical safties and 1 meat safeties..yet can be fired with a simple flip of the slide lock lever and pulling the trigger.
Lets see HK do THAT!
how many other pistols do you know with that many safeties built into them?
so yah..Browning.
THAT is the only name I'm impressed with.
HK? meh. they're not special, to me.
