Saw some primers at a show
At a weekend gunshow, I saw a table with Wolf Small pistol, and large rifle for sale, 37 a K. Seemed to have several cases under the table.
Another table had WW small pistol mag and large rifle, current packaging, but the small pistol was new old stock Remington, he was asking 35/K
Current production Small pistol still seems to be rare, but perhaps the corner has turned. If you have a thousand or so set back, I see no reason to pay scalper prices at present. Like this guy was selling older small pistol, trust me, he aint the only guy in town with lots of them stored away to sell on a rainy day.

Re: Saw some primers at a show
I was at the gunshow in Louisville over the weekend myownself and seen a healthy supply of primers but they were still 35 to 40 bucks a thousand. I still have a good supply so I passed on these this time but if things dont settle down by next show Im going to have to pay the price before the next big hoarding and bloating of prices makes it even worse.
What pissed me off more than anything was the 10 bucks admission and the 5 bucks to park at the Fair and Expo center in Louisville. If it wsnt for the fact that I go with a group of guys every year and we meet up with some of the vendors we have come to know I wouldnt even waste my time. Its more of a time of fellowship than gun buying with me anymore...of course I still look for that deal either on the tables or walking up and down the aisle.

Re: Saw some primers at a show
Shows have changed a lot in the past decade. the net is too blame. The thing is, I agree with you B S ing with friends there is part of the enjoyment.
That does not happen on the net.
Since NV still allows private sales, the shows are still a valid option, and both buyers and sellers attend the shows, yet I imagine a few nice guns are getting sold through the net, instead of the sellers going to the shows. The seller just wanting to cash in dead grandpas gun, could care less about the friendship aspect.

Re: Saw some primers at a show
My local hardware store owner brought in 10k small pistol primers (CCI) just for me- 29.99 a thousand.
I love this guy! That's why I choose to buy guns from him.

Would tell those "show" people where to stick those $35-$40 primers... you can get them off the internet anywhere from $25-$30 a K. If you buy at least 5K even paying the hazmat and shipping it is still a lot better than the $35-$40 prices most "show" people and many gun stores are charging.

Re: Saw some primers at a show
we're having the "kenny woods gun and knife show" next weekend in corbin at the civic center. I'm going to take my taurus pistol with crimson trace grips as well as my yellowboy rifle up there and see if I can sell them.
Momma wants a dyson vacuum cleaner (yah right?) and I want to pick up a RIA 1911 compact if I can find one.
I will also post the taurus here if folks want to take a look at it.
I'll let you guys know what primers are going for when I go..if they're a good price, I'm going to do like you guys and pick up a couple of K..but chances are, I'll simply wait. I have a good stock on hand as it is..
I DO need a Lee factory crimp die for 30-06 springfield though..still haven't gotten off my butt and bought one yet.
