ORLANDO, Fla. -- At least eight people were shot inside a downtown Orlando high-rise Friday morning.
Gateway Center
Firefighters were called to Gateway Center at 1000 Legion Place around 11:30 a.m. The building is near Lake Ivanhoe.
Dispatchers with the Orlando Fire Department said a shooting with multiple victims was reported on the fourth floor.
At least six ambulances and dozens of police cars and fire engines have arrived at the scene.
WESH 2 News reporter Greg Fox said gurneys are being wheeled toward the building. However, some rescue personnel may be waiting for clearance from authorities that the scene has been secured.
Cameras in downtown Orlando showed authorities closing some streets around the center.

Sometimes it is more important to have a "backbone" made out of polymer than out of calcium! The decision to "protect" must be firmly made long before the time to protect arrives.

The anti gun people are going to have a field day with these two shooting. I can hear them now we need more gun control.
