Hello to all

Post by mlaymance on Tue 9 Mar - 23:12

I am a resident of South Carolina, and just found the AGO forum today. I have spent a couple hours reading the posts and decided to join the forums.

I am sort of new to the pistol world but have owned long guns nearly all my life. My sister (can you believe it) and brother in law recently have introduced me to shooting and pistols.

I have owned a .38 special that belonged to my grandfather for several years. I kept it around mostly for protection until the shooting interest came along. My other pistol that I bought recently is a Glock 17. I am getting familiar with it and have shot about 150 rounds out of it already. I think it is a pretty nice gun and is really a pleasure to shoot. I have shot several others including a G19 and a G26. The full size for some reason feels better to me.

It is sort of large for CCW but I don't have my permit yet anyway. (I will be working on that as soon as I can find a course in my area.)

My next will no doubt be a .22

I have already learned a lot of valuable information by reading the posts.

Thanks for a well put together and very informative forum.

From Mississippi.

G17 is a good place to start!

But, caution---it can be habit forming.
