WARNING about a company named MMC Sights Inc. in Las Vegas, NV
I saw this on another forum and thought that getting the warning out would be good for all.

I wanted to let everyone know to stay away from a company in Las Vegas,
Nevada. named MMC Sights Inc. They are an on-line retailer who sells
sights. This company is fraudulent.
On June 20,2009 I purchased an adjustable rear tritium sight for my
Kimber Ultra CDP II. For $15 they offered to professionally install the
sight. I sent them my slide via UPS which they received on June 29,
2009. Since then I have not been able to make contact with this
company. I have sent over 30 e-mails, but they do not responded. I have
called them over 30 times, but they do not answer their telephone. I
have left over 30 messages on their answering machine, but they do not
return my calls. I even sent them an overnight federal express letter
that they signed for...no reponse.
I did some research on this company, which I should have done before
sending them my slide. They do not have a valid business license in the
state of Nevada. They have an "F" rating from the Better Business
Bureau and have not bothered to respond to 7 out of the 11 complaints
filed against them in the last 36 months. The state attorney general's
office in Nevada is no longer accepting complaints from consumers
(budget cuts). The Las Vegas Police Department will not take a
complaint either (too busy). A lawyer charges $325 an hour, meaning
that it will cost much more than the price of the gun to get the slide
back. I filed a complaint with the FBI but they admitted that not much
will come of it, they have bigger fish to fry. I called Kimber and they
told me that they do not sell replacement slides.
It looks like I am stuck...anyone got any good ideas?
Please let everyone know to stay away from this company.
Thanks,
LW

Re: WARNING about a company named MMC Sights Inc. in Las Vegas, NV
I had a very similair experice with MMC recently. In September, I ordered a set of adjustable night sights for my Glock 19. I had dealt with MMC years ago when I bought some sights for my GLock 17,and had a very positive experince with them. Wanting another sight like the one on my G17, I ordered a new sight from them.
After a couple of weeks, I hadn't heard anything, so I tried to call them and could not get an answer. I posted a question about them on GLock Talk, and gotother people reporting basically the same thing. I e-mailed them asking if they were in business, and got a reply from Julie Wilson stating that yes, they were still in business, and that my order would be processed "shortly". Another week or so went by, again phone calls and messages went unanswered, so I sent Juie WIlson another e-mail. Got a reply from her on October 10th saying that they had been having "server issues for the last week", and that my sight would be sent out that day or the next depending on pick-up times.
Since the I have left repeated phone messages, e-mails, etc., and have not received a single reply. I canceled my order (luckilyI paid with a VISA card, and the bank refunded the money) and also filed a complaint on-line with the Southern Nevade Better Business Bureau.
I agree that people need to be warned about this company. I'm sad to hear that what was once a very decent, easy to deal with company has reduced themselves to the current state of affairs. Several times I asked them to be honest with me and tell me if their business was having troubles or not, but J Wilson assured me that they were still in business and my order would be processed . . .

PTnightsights mmc sights scam
Same with me. I sent them my slide in November 2009. Communication with Julie via email was good before it was sent in. After I sent it in, communication from them stopped. They will not return my emails and the phone # is never answered, but defaults to a loop recording. When I look at their website, it seems a little off. I am wondering if this is some sort of scam that has overseas origins.

They are probably collecting semi automatic pistol slides and melting them down for some reason.....I would guess that it is an anti gun orginization that takes your money and your slide and melts the slides down to make boat anchors and spends your money in Nevada's houses of illrepute.
