The Uplula
Hey guys, Have you all seen or used this new magazine loader? I got one a little while back and it is the neatest thing that I have ever seen. You can do some serious magazine loading with this thing. The one that I got is good for multiple calibers from 9mm to 45cal. You would have to use one to really appreciate it. Your fingers dont get tired or sore either. I can load 5-16rd. mags in less than 3 minutes with it. I think it was money well spent. If interrested you can find them online. Its name is Uplula. Iwill never be caught without one now

Re: The Uplula
Yep they work like a champ on pistols alright, but where they really shine is in loading 30 round magazines for the AR15... absolutely beautiful. I can load a 30 rounder almost as fast as i can shoot one... well, ok, a bit of a stretch, but not by far it isn't. Drop, flip, drop flip...can't get any better than that.

Re: The Uplula
I was at the range this weekend shooting. I was loading my mags with the one that comes with your glock and a guy shooting beside me had one and let me try it out. Now I have to have one for my self.

Here's a photo of the one at Midway USA. Can one of you guys who have used it tell us how it works?

Re: The Uplula
It fits down over the magazine and there is a piece of plastic that pushes down on the part of the magazine where the bullet sits. Then you push the bullet in until it stops, lift up the uplula a little and shove the bullet on in to the back, then push down again on top of the bullet you just inserted and insert the next bullet. Saves the old fingers quite a bit especially on those last 3 or 4 rounds.
Now the one that works on the AR magazines have a little lever on top. You sit it on the top of the magazine and there is a little clip that holds it to the magazine. Flip the lever and it pushes down, drop a round in and flip the lever, it pushes down on the first round and you drop another round in beside it... You can load a 30 round magazine in aprox 30 to 45 seconds if you are able.

Re: The Uplula
OK, so the pistol model works about like an ADCO Super Thumb or the loaders that come with CZ pistols. Does this one work any better than those? Midway wants about $24 for the Uplula model, which is quite a bit more than the ADCO models, is why I ask. I've used the others for years and they do indeed work well. Hadn't heard of the Uplula until now.

Re: The Uplula
Hold the magazine upright with the bottom resting on a solid surface. Place the loader over the top of the mag, press down lightly while squeezing the lever to depress the follower, drop in a round, and work the lever quickly to push it into the mag. Repeat the process until the magazine is full.

Re: The Uplula
Ok that is a little different, have never used the one with a lever to squeeze, but sounds like the both do the same basic job. On one you squeeze a lever on the other you just push down. I guess i must have the one for the pistol like the ADCO model, although i do have the uplula for the AR...

Re: The Uplula
Either way, they are a Godsend, especially when you have to load a lot of magazines in a short period of time. I once had to fire 1,266 rounds in a S&W M4006 in only two range days and we only had three mags each. They made us wrap our thumbs and forefingers with cohesive tape to keep from losing too much skin, and then they gave us each an ADCO Super Thumb or I would have never made it.......we actually loaded 115 mags each in only two days!
So I have been addicted to these loaders ever since, especially in the extended capacity mags like the CZ 12 rounders for their CZ 75 .40.....it is almost impossible to load the last two rounds in those without a loader of some sort. I've found the CZ loaders work well with Browning Hi Power and S&W M5906 9mm's and M4006 .40's, and the ADCO model also fits a wide variety of double stackers. The South African Browning Hi Power mags sold by CDNN come with a military issue loader of this style made of steel, so they are indeed in military use as well. If you shoot automatic pistols with double stack mags, you'll never go wrong buying one of these loaders, especially if you are a little arthritic and need a help loading the mags.

Re: The Uplula
I really like the LULA loader for AR Magazines.
For Pistol Magazines, I use the MagLoader. It is just a simple plastic ring with a notched rod on it's side. You put it on your thumb, and push down on the top of the ammo stack. Place each round in on top of the previous round, push down and insert. Repeat. Works great! Easy on the thumbs and fingers. Costs only $5 for three.

Re: The Uplula
Magloaders work great for pistol loading. Small easy to carry in pocket and they work as fast as you can work with no problems. It is actually easier to use than those loaders that come with a lot of pistols and they work on any magazine any cal.
