No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone,particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security
screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former
Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling. Yeah thats the ticket.

I believe that profiling has saved countless lives in the past and we should still do it. Especially these days.

While I truely believe that we have to consider "profiling" in air travel, they will have to do it in a proper manner.
I would hate to see it come to pulling out everyone with brown skin in the line.
It takes a pretty good eye, to differentiate races by physical features. It can be done by someone on a pretty good rate, but they are going to make a few mistakes now an then.
And I think THAT is what everyone fears.
Now, if they profile on the basis of the person meeting all the criteria, including a foreign passport, or those carrying a rug along with them, and the age group yeah, do a double take.
I would hate to see it come to pulling out everyone with brown skin in the line.

Ron, when I see folks like that, I don't just do a double take, I do a very careful once over and leave my weather eye on em just to be sure.
The majority of Muslims that I know are good folks. They don't want trouble and don't make trouble. The problem comes when their brethren of their faith misbehave. These folks make absolutely no effort to stop them or dissuade them, on the whole.
I know a blond haired blue eyed Lebonese girl..you'd never think she was middle eastern until she opened her mouth.
sometimes it's hard to figure out who's who and what's what...but we'd better get a handle on it or there's going to be lots more trouble..that's for sure.

I think we are on the same page, I have no doubt there are what I call "jack muslims" that could care less about a literal read of their book.
Enough do though, that its a major headache that the world has to deal with.
I never knew until just a few years back, the numbers of Japanese that got hauled off to camps, those camps were all over the west, tens if not hundreds of thousands were interred.
I asked Dad once , why we never did that with the German Americans, I have to think and believe, pure and simple, is that they "looked American"
Of course had they done that, they would have locked up about half of everyone in the midwest.

I agree...and also I think the whole "stab them in the back with a surprise attack" thing had a serious impact. Attacks on sovereign soil have a tendency to do that.

Speaking of being cynical, if my son in law, who btw is a DI at MCRD is any evidence, the younger generation believes FDR knew in advance, and we have both heard or read that theory too.
Just making note of how the younger generation considers a somewhat modified version of the events, or at least modified from what I was told as a kid.
I dont really know when the "sneak attack being already known" started being widely told. I suppose it was always in the background by the conspiracy followers, probably like the 9 11 conspiracy bunch, or the ones saying we never went to the moon.

I say profile em, little old white ladies with curlers in thier hair didn't comment the crimes on 911, Muslim male extremists did. So I say to hell with em, if they don't like coming into our country after all they've done to us and being looked at like terrorists then maybe they should go back to herding sheep in the dried up wasteland where they came from.
