Occupations?

Post by 16gauge on Sat 1 Nov - 8:44

I haven't seen a thread on this yet, so if there is one already, forgive me.

What do you do to enable you to buy guns, ammo, reloading supplies, hunt, fish, ect? (Oh, and put food on the table as well) Razz

For those of you who are retired, what did you use to do for a living?

I'm a perfusionist.....I run heart-lung machines for cardiac procedures (open heart & bypass procedures), as well as other equipment (IABPs, rapid infusers, cell savers) for other procedures (aneurysms, gun shot wounds, traumas, ect) as needed. Work in the city of Detroit, so it's usually busy.

Any one else?

I'm a semi-retired snack food distributor. I run my own business placing snacks in convenience and grocery stores 3 or 4 days a week.

Before that, I was a paintless dent removal technician. I owned and operated my own business removing dents from cars and trucks for wholesale dealers.

Somewhat retired but still buy and sell Real Estate. Entered the Real Estate business in 1970 and worked my way into logging and land development. Now I just buy and sell what I believe are good deals (I guess wrong sometimes too).

I've got a friend that does that at the Smyrna TN plant. He's been there almost from day one.

I've been in sales most of my life. Most recently selling cigarettes since 2001. Had my own business for the last 4 years but the laws and the competition got me to thinking about a new direction. When there are people who will buy a carton of cigs and resell for .25 profit that pushed me over the edge. I have just begun a career as a Foreign Currency Trader.

Before I was put on disability I worked in a factory as a machinist making large green farming machines. Looking for part time work to supplement disability now.
