Pictures of Handguns

Post by GlockNut on Tue 9 Sep - 3:22

Please post all your Handgun photos here.
If you would like to do a little write up about your pix by all means go ahead. But if you are wanting to do a full write up about it then Please post the pix and your write up in one of the forums that fit it best like Handguns, long guns, etc..If a member wants to post a pix in the Firearms photo Gallery forum and still post the same pix and a write up in another forum they can. Firearms photo Gallery is replacing the Gallery so members can show off more firearms. Thanks

Re: Pictures of Handguns

My 1965 Smith Model 19-2. Factory stock except for the front sight blade, which was transplanted from the 4" model. The 6" gun had a straight blade that tended to hang on the lip of the suicide bucket holsters of the day and cause accidental discharges. The left grip panel was milled out by hand to accept speed loaders and the stock finish is Tru Oil from 1972. The factory didn't start providing milled-out stocks until later in the 70's. I paid $82 for it, brand new.

This is my last homemade sporter, which I completed in 1993. It is a Mark X Whitworth action with a short-chambered Shilen medium weight barrel cut to 23" and chambered for the 6.5X55mm Swedish Mauser cartridge. It shoots minute of angle or better with 120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips chronographing 3,100 fps. The wood is Northern California English Walnut finished in Tru Oil.
