Size does matter .......

Post by miestro_jerry on Mon 22 Jun - 21:27

I am 5'6" tall and weigh in at about 145lbs, during the summer it is hard for me to conceal carry, I have to carry my 340 PD in a SOB holster. I would like to find a comfortable carry holster for the PD, but do other people have this problem?

Wearing a light jacket or a vest would get me noticed real quick in my area. So I walk around with my baggy T shirt not tucked in. Even then it is plain to see that I am carrying.

Try appendix carry, should be ok with your build. Here in TN. its not a problem if we print. I carry my 1911 appendix at 1230 or at 330 with no problem.

Ever try something like the SmartCarry? If your carrying something fairly compact they just disappear easily and yet are reasonably quick to get to. The maker carries a full sized 1911 in his wearing a pair of jeans. I can't do so with a 1911, but i can carry a compact 40 with ease. Just wear a slightly bigger pair of pants.

Also the CrossBreed IWB works very well with the compact models and even with the 1911's when carried at the 3 or 3:30 position and slightly larger pants and loose T shirt.
