I've always liked Federal with Winchester coming in a close second

I have no preference really. One is just as good as the other as far as im concerned.

If I had to pick, I guess I would go with Winchester. No particular reason, it is just what I have always bought.

All things being equeal (shot size, charge weight and load weight) I like the ammunition that costs the least.
The all time best I ever shot was 1 3/8 oz of No 5 chilled shot loaded to 1350 fps in a 2 3/4" Winchester AA hull. Better than most 3 1/2" steel shot loads available today. But alas, we no longer use lead shot for ducks and geese.
